Woman charged with forging contract to defraud KEMSA

A middle-aged woman was today arraigned at Milimani Law Courts facing charges of forging framework contract in the name of Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) for the supply of long-lasting Insecticidal nets.

The suspect, Faith Mwikali Ndiwa is believed to have forged the said contract between KEMSA and Ashley Dylan Limited on March 7, 2022, with a sole aim of defrauding KEMSA millions of money.

“Faith Mwikali Ndiwa on the 7th day of March 2022 at unknown place within the republic of Kenya, with intent to defraud, forged an amendment agreement to the framework contract between KEMSA and Ashley Dylan limited for the supply of Long-lasting insecticidal nets purporting it to be genuine agreement entered into by KEMSA and Ashley Dylan limited…” reads the charge sheet.

She was also accused of fraudulently obtaining Ksh 25,040,150 from a business lady Jude Olabayo Vracruz by falsely pretending she had through her company called Ashley Dylan limited secured a contract with KEMSA to supply Long-lasting insecticidal nets and that the Ksh 25 million would be used to complete her bargain.

Appearing before Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi, the accused denied the charges and was remanded in custody pending her bail and bond application on May 28, 2024.
