Elgeyo Marakwet police are investigating an incident where a woman killed her three-month-old baby and two others.
According to witnesses, the woman awoke on Sunday night, grabbed a panga, and descended on three persons in Elgeyo Marakwet’s Katilit district.
Two people were hurt in the night attack and were transferred to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital for treatment.
In other news, Panic has rocked Eldama Ravine village in Baringo County following the discovery of the body of a 49-year-old man who worked as a cook in one of the schools on Monday.
The roadway near Kerkwony stadium in Eldama Ravine discovered the man’s lifeless body.
The event was confirmed by Koibatek Sub-county police chief Joseph Ongaya, who said officers received information in the morning and proceeded to the area.
Ongaya stated in his office that investigations into the matter have begun.
He stated that no stone will be left unturned in identifying the perpetrators and that some leads are being pursued. The deceased’s body was sent to the Eldama Ravine mortuary.
