A former senior Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) employee has been charged with conning a truck driver out of about Sh15 million.
Hapicha Mamo, a KPA property surveyor, is accused of defrauding Issack Ali Maalim of Sh15,540,000 by suggesting he could sell him 60 acres of land.
According to court documents, the incident occured between February 8, 2016 and May 30, 2017.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.
He appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Ritta Amwai.
He was denied bail after prosecution mentioned how Mr. Mamo skipped police summons.
