On Monday morning, five persons were killed on the spot after a car accident on the Kisii-Nyamira route.
The accident happened at 4 a.m.
According to accounts, the fourteen-seater Public Service Vehicle (PSV) collided with a stationary trailer parked on the roadside, killing five male adults on the spot.
Seven more persons, two of whom were critically injured, were rushed to Kisii level Six hospital for treatment.
The deceased’s bodies were transferred to the facility morgue.
