580 new cases as Kenya headed towards 30,000 mark

The country has recorded 580 news COVID-19 positive cases drawn from a sample size of 5,487, in the last 24hours. This makes the total number of positive cases 29,334.

In terms of age, the oldest is 92 years while the youngest is a 1-year-old infant. Geographically Nairobi leads with 375 new cases spread across the sub-counties.

However, 198 new recoveries were recorded making the total recoveries to 15298. Sadly 5 people succumbed to the disease. Among those who passed on is a senior pulmonologist Ndambuki Mboloi as revealed earlier in a presser by KMPDU
