Two more victims of Malanga tanker tragedy has succembed at Siaya County Referral Hospital bring the number to 15.
The hospital’s medical superintendent Dr. Liech Odoyo said there are no more missing victims as they have all been accounted for.
He added that DNA examinations would be conducted on Tuesday to ascertain the identity of the victims.
The victims died while siphoning fuel after a petrol tanker overturned and exploded in Malanga area on the Kisumu-Busia highway.
Several other people were injured after fire broke out from the tanker that got involved in an accident near Argwings Kodhek Secondary School on Saturday night.
According to area residents, the tanker that was heading to Busia from Kisumu hit an oncoming lorry before it lost control and veered off the road then rolled.
