A 76-year-old retired teacher was found dead at a guesthouse in Molo, Nakuru County, on Thursday morning after a night out with an unidentified female.
Locals say the deceased was seen at Miti Mirefu, a local pub, on Wednesday night.
He is said to have consumed alcohol before traveling to Salama Boarding and Lodging, where he had booked a room, at around 10 p.m.
The mystery woman is said to have joined him at around 10.30 p.m.
The body of the dead was discovered by one of the lodge’s staff who was cleaning the rooms the next morning.
Since then, crime detectives have visited the area and are following important clues that could lead to the suspect’s arrest.
The body of the victim has been taken to a local mortuary.
