An autopsy reveals the cause of death for a Nyamira couple, prompting the family to demand justice.
The family of deceased US-based man Edward Morema and his wife Grace Mong’ina Morema, who were murdered in their Nyamakoroto home by unknown assailants, is calling for a prompt investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.
According to the autopsy report conducted on the two bodies at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital, Edward Morema was hit twice on the head with a blunt object and suffered three stab wounds on his ribs, while his wife Grace Morema died from strangulation.
The perpetrators removed the CCTV DVR from the house before locking it and fleeing the scene of the crime.
According to Masaba North sub-County police commander Robbert Ndambiri, officers are still holding two workers in the homestead who are assisting with investigations.
