Black Panther to return as a TV series for Disney +

The Black Panther director and co-writer Ryan Coogler is developing a series which is based on the same story line as the Wakanda story .- By Stephanie Mwangi.

The new TV series is set to be a 5 year Television deal with Ryan’s proximity media production company, said Disney in a statement.

They however didn’t give a release date but as of now Ryan said they are working on a movie sequel similar to that of Black Panther which is set to be released in July 2022.

The original Black Panther had all its cast as black people won an award for the best picture nominations at the Oscars and it earned $1.3 billion at box offices.

The movie starred the late Chadwick Boseman who died of cancer last year August. Marvel studios president Kevin Feige however, said his role will not be re-casted.

Disney said in December they plan to release 10 new TV series in both Marvel and Star wars charters since they are competing with other bigger organizations for viewers.
