Catholic Bishops condole ‘forgotten’ kids

The Kenya Council of Catholic Bishops has issued a message of condolence to the parents, teachers, and pupils affected in the Kakamega Primary School collapse.

In the letter dated 7th February, the bishops urged those given the responsibility of children in schools to take care of them in all ways possible.

The council also addressed the parents and children whose loved ones were involved in the accident, to take heart and regain the strength to go back to school.

The county government earlier today held a requiem mass in honour of the students who passed on in the tragic stampede.

The mass was held at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega county, and was graced by ministry officials as well as politicians.
