Police in Nairobi are investigating an incident in which two men and a woman were found dead in a lodging in Pipeline area.

The three had booked the room together but were later found dead and it is not clear what caused the  death.

Two middle-aged men and women committed suicide in a lounge in Chaiman’s pipeline neighborhood between midnight and 2:00 a.m. Tuesday.

According to Antony Mathenge, the proprietor of Chairman Lounge, who reported the matter to the police, the couple was discovered motionless on the bed, holding each other by the shoulders with their lips tightly pressed together.

This was after the room attendant Caroline Mbulwa proceeded to wake them up after she became suspicious when the duo failed to check out.

She decided to alert his boss after banging on the door receiving no response.

Mathenge then called the cops, who broke the door panes to gain entry because the door was locked from the inside.

According to Stapol Kware, one of the police officers who arrived on the scene, there were no visible injuries or evidence of struggle, but the guy who booked the room had bled from the mouth and nose.

Two IDs were retrieved from the site, and the bodies have been transported to the city mortuary for postmortem examination.
