Chaos As Wetangula Kicks Out Millie Odhiambo, Rosa Buyu in Debate Over Sabina Chege Ouster

Suba North Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo and her Kisumu West counterpart, Rosa Buyu, were kicked out of Parliament on Thursday, June 8, after bringing proceedings to a standstill.

The chaos erupted while Speaker Moses Wetangula was ruling on the removal of Nominated Member of Parliament Sabina Chege from her position as deputy minority whip.

Wetangula stated in his decision that he would not authorise Chege’s removal from her position as a result of a court petition.

His decision enraged Azimio MPs, who objected to leaving the chamber.

“Sergeant in arms, kindly ensure the two MPs are taken outside the Parliament.

“Honourable Buyu and Millie Odhiambo, please leave the House. I want to see the two outside… Sergeant at Arms can you take the two members out!” Wetangula ordered as the duo defied his orders.

Wetangula then went ahead to suspend the sitting for fifteen minutes.
