A helicopter crashed in the Alaskan wilderness which left five people including one of Europe’s richest resident dead – By Stephanie Mwangi
The chopper went down on Saturday during a back country heli-skiing trip.
Among the victims in the crash was Peter Kellner 56 who was Czech Republic’s richest person and one of the 70 richest people in in the world according to Forbes.
The Alaska department of public safety said rescuers over the weekend recovered the bodies of peter and four others and also Zachary Russell who was piloting the helicopter .
A sixth person who was not named was in serious but stable condition and being treated at a hospital in anchorage area the rescue team didn’t find any other survivors .
It is not yet clear what caused the crash but the authorities say they were notified by the Alaska troopers at around 10 pm about a possible helicopter crash .
