The alleged Mirema shooting mastermind has been discharged by the court unconditionally

Dennis Karani Gachoki has been found to have no case to answer by Magistrate Caroline Muthoni of Milimani law courts hence the court discharged him of the case of murder.

Corporal Katemi one of the investigating officers in the murder case told the court that Gachoki was detained for 14 days. However, the evidence from the investigation was insufficient to pin him to the crime scene or the crime itself although he had been cooperative throughout the investigations.

However, the officer told the court that the said Gachoki was charged before Makadara law courts on June 7, 2022, with another offence of stupefying in order to commit a felony and that due to insufficient evidence they were requesting to close the murder file.

Further, the investigating officer pleaded with the court to allow Gachoki to remain in custody based on a remand order issued by Makadara law courts yesterday.

The court discharged him on the miscellaneous murder case but allowed the prayer by the investigating officers to detain him pending a hearing and determination of his stupefying case.
