A middle-aged man’s body was discovered inside Leaders pub in Gitare, Runyenjes central ward, Embu county.
Locals have decried the area’s rampant increase in illicit liquor, with multiple deaths reported.
They have blamed it on laxity on the part of the area security apparatus.
The deceased’s body was collected by Runyenjes police and taken to the Runyenjes hospital mortuary as police began their investigation.
