Parents To Supervise Children In New Instagram Update

Written By Mary Mumbua  📝

Instagram has launched the first set of parental supervision tools for underage users, allowing parents to monitor their children’s use of the app.

According to the company’s CEO, Adam Mosseri, parents and guardians will be able to view and limit the amount of time their children spend on Instagram.

Guardians will also be able to receive updates on the accounts the teens are following, who is following them, and which accounts they are reporting.

In a related development, Instagram has introduced longer stories.

Videos of up to 60 seconds in length will no longer be segmented.
