“We hope that the opening of this mission will lead to the realization of the potential that exists between our two countries,” CS Omamo said.

In 1982, Indonesia established a diplomatic post in Nairobi.

The new mission is designed to improve access to consular services for all Kenyans living in Indonesia.

Furthermore, the new embassy is intended to assist our two nations to renew bilateral relations and give energy to current engagements, according to the Foreign Office.

Indonesia, as a rising economic power, is a high-potential partner in Kenya’s national development plan, notably in commerce and industrialization, security and police cooperation, finance, investments, universal healthcare, and urban development.

Kenya is seen by Indonesia not only as a viable market but also as a gateway to the East African Region.

Indonesia is likewise a prospective market for a wide range of Kenyan goods.

Tea, coffee and coffee alternatives, tobacco, vegetables, leather, and metallic salts are among Kenya’s principal exports to Indonesia.
