Jeremiah Kioni, Secretary General of the Jubilee Party, has criticized EALA MP Kanini Kega’s decision to eject him from the Jubilee Party.
Speaking on Friday, the Secretary-General said Kega should recall that former President Uhuru Kenyatta nominated and supported his campaign for EALA.
Kioni suggested that the EALA MP start his own party rather than eject members from Jubilee.
“If you want to leave your party, not just Jubilee but also ODM, Wiper, and the rest, and you believe it is greener within Kenya Kwanza, go back to the people and have a by-election,” he urged.
This comes after Kega announced that Kioni and Jubilee vice chair David Murathe had been expelled.
According to Kega, the National Executive Council agreed to accept the disciplinary committee’s recommendation to expel Kioni and Murathe and suspend Gichohi.
He stated that the disciplinary team judged Kioni and Murathe guilty of the charges brought against them.
