As the fight for the presidency in 2022 begins to take shape, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka says he is ready to take on Deputy President William Ruto.
“Defeating William Ruto is my number one priority and I have reasons for it…,” said Kalonzo.
While addressing a meeting in Kitui County, the Wiper boss slammed Ruto’s hustler tale as ridiculous.
He expressed confidence in his ability to defeat Ruto in the contest to succeed Kenyatta.
Kalonzo’s warning comes amid wrangling in the disbanded National Supper Alliance (NASA), with the ANC, Ford Kenya, and Wiper deciding to leave and establish the One Kenya alliance, which includes KANU.
He also indicated that the National Executive Committee of the Wiper Party will meet on Monday to approve the party’s withdrawal from the NASA coalition.
The NEC will also explore how to deepen the One Kenya Alliance by forming a robust coalition with other like-minded leaders.
