Kenya African National Union Party (KANU) renounced intentions to join the One Kenya Alliance.
The KANU party has appeared to change its tune, stating that they have yet to determine whether or not to join the OKA ahead of the national elections next year.
Secretary-General of the Kenya African National Union, Nick Salat, has confirmed that their coalition agreement with the Jubilee Party is still in place and that they have no plans to leave anytime soon.
.”Our deal with Jubilee runs until 2022 and we can only enter in any other arrangements if it becomes necessary,” Said Kanu Secretary-General Nick Salat as quoted by the Nation.
If Moi fails to join the One Kenya Alliance then it will be a blow to Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetang’ula[Ford], and Musalia Mudavadi since they will have lessened their influence across the country.
