Kenya Airways Cancels Flights As Heavy Storm Rocks Dubai

Kenya Airways cancelled a flight to and from Dubai on Tuesday, April 16, due to severe weather and flooding in the Middle East country.

KQ announced on Wednesday that another flight was also cancelled on April 16 due to the severe weather that lashed the Gulf on Tuesday following a heavy storm.

“We are monitoring the situation and are in close contact with Dubai authorities to minimise the inconvenience and disruption to our customers’ travels,” KQ said, apologising to its customers for the inconvenience. Those affected have been advised to contact KQ customer support lines.

On Tuesday, a heavy storm flooded Dubai Airport, killing at least 18 people in Oman.

More than 50 flights were cancelled as a result of the 25-minute suspension of operations.
