Arror and Kimwarer Case On The Verge Of ‘Collapse’

Former Treasury CS Henry Rotich -- CYRUS KIMANGA/UZALENDO NEWS

The Ksh 63 Billion Kimwarer and Arror Dam fraud against the former Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich and 8 other co-accused is on the verge of collapsing.

The suspects stand a chance of going scot-free if the prosecution continues declining to lead their witnesses in the process of finding the truth in the mega corruption which almost shook the country to the core.

In a dramatic event, for the fifth time today the prosecution availed to court its witnesses and failed to ask the witnesses questions in relation to the Ksh.63 billion corruption case.

On Monday, September 25, four witnesses from Kerio Valley Development Authority were available to testify against the accused persons only for the ODPP to put them in the witness stand and informed the court that they had no questions ask their witnesses.

Yet on Tuesday, September 26, similarly, two witnesses were present and again the prosecution said that they had no questions. This prompted Magistrate Eunice Nyutu to adjourn the matter to next week.

In the case Rotich, alongside Kennedy Nyakundi Nyachiro, Jackson Njau Kinyanjui, David Kipchumba Kimosop, William KiPkemboi Maina, Paul Kipkoech Serem, Francis Chepkonga Kipkech, Titus Murithi and Geoffrey Mwangi Wahungu have been charged over the Ksh.63 billion graft case.

So far 26 witnesses have been called to testify against the accused with the prosecution failing to lead testimonies of 15 witnesses.
