A Policeman attached to Kitui Police Station is on the run after he shot a bar tender over a bribe. Chief Inspector Peter Thuo, the Deputy Police County Commander shot Phillip Mutunga during a commotion over a bribe.
The senior officer opened fire on Phillip Mutunga, causing him grievous harm. He is currently recuperating at Kitui General hospital. Police are investigating the incident. Mutunga now claims his life is in danger and wants police to provide him with security.
