A paramedic based in Mwingi contracted the Covid 19 virus from a girlfriend based in Mombasa.
The medic’s travel record showed that he had recently visited his lover between April 6th to April 19, 2020.
The medic is an employee of Mwingi Level 4 hospital.
He has been transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment, as authorities kicked off contact tracing to identify those who may have met with the medic.’
Nairobi and Mombasa counties have suffered the worst blow, taking up nearly 50 percent of all cases tested so far.
