Kobe Byrant Death: Post mortem reveals What may have happened


Post-mortem examination of helicopter crash that killed basketballer Kobe Bryant has revealed that blunt force trauma as the cause of death for all the nine victims who lost their lives.


The report also found that the pilot, Ara Zobayan, tested negative for drugs and alcohol.


“On January 28, the cause of death for all nine victims was ruled as blunt trauma,..The manner of death was certified as an accident”. The examination read.


The crash occurred on January 26, when the helicopter was heading to California.


Byrant was on board with his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna who also lost her life.


The other passengers included two of Gianna’s basketball teammates, their relatives and a coach who were on their way to a tournament in Thousand Oaks where Byrant had been set to coach.


Alyssa Altobelli, John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Sara Chester, Payton Chester, Christina Mauser, the pilot Ara Zobayan all died alongside the Byrants when the helicopter crashed.


Byrant had a successful basketball career and considered one of the greatest players in the game leading a 20-year career while playing for LA Lakers.

He later retired in April 2016.
