Lawyers To Picket Over Abducted Colleague

The Law Society of Kenya plans a countrywide demos over the missing lawyer Prof Hassan Nandwa and his client ex-terrorist Elgiva Bwire.

The two are missing since October 28 after Bwire was released from jail.

The lawyers say they plan to hold country-wide peaceful demonstrations under the “Purple Ribbon Campaign Week”, on Wednesday 10th November 2021.

The Society will organize other activities to be observed during the Purple Ribbon Campaigns Week starting today to Friday.

LSK’s Mercy Wambua said urged lawyers to recognize the threat that such abductions and enforced disappearances which continue to pose a grave danger to the security of advocates.

They have called on the legal fraternity to turn out in large numbers, to participate in the week-long activities.
