Court orders detention of a 44-Year-Old South African Woman accused of attempted murder which occurred at Loft Apartment within Kilimani area in Nairobi.
Thepo De Villier a South African national was arrested on September 9,2023 at the said Apartment after her female friend Dr. Nkabati Happy Raoleka aged 42 years was found unconscious at the ground floor of the Apartment.
According to DCI report, Thepo narrated that they had drinks together with the victim at Gemini Club before they retired to their bed and that she was only awaken by police officers from Kilimani Police station in respect to the incident.
The police arraigned the suspect under a miscellaneous application to detain her for five days to conclude their investigations.
According to the police, they are yet to record statement from witnesses as the victim is currently at Kenyatta National Hospital fighting for her life.
Investigations revealed that the two ladies are longtime friends who are in a five-day visit in Kenya and were sharing same room in the Apartment.
The Court ordered her detention for one extra day to go through the DCI detention application before giving the way forward.
