Magoha Bans Political Success Cards

Success cards carrying political images have been prohibited, according to Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha.

Prof. Magoha, speaking in Kakamega, advised county commissioners and education authorities to burn any achievement cards with political photos handed to students who will take national exams in March.

He was addressing at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) classrooms at Mwiyala Secondary School.

“Ensure that you destroy any success messages sent to students bearing political portraits without fear or favour. Our children are not in politics they are just children,” he directed.

He stated that the government will not allow strangers inside examination centers during the national exams, and he urged contractors to complete the work as soon as possible so that the exams may begin.

The government is building 10,000 classrooms for junior secondary schools in grades 7 and 8, with the first phase involving 5200 classrooms.
