Senator Malala Loses Step Mum To Azimio

"I've ditched Kenya Kwanza for Azimio to support Raila and Martha. I've also come to help my incoming governor Barasa

Kakamega County Senator Cleophas Malala’s stepmother has abandoned Kenya Kwanza for Azimio.

During a Wednesday Azimio rally at Bukhungu Stadium, Jackeline Okanya declared her support for Raila Odinga’s campaign.

“I’ve ditched Kenya Kwanza for Azimio to support Raila and Martha. I’ve also come to help my incoming governor Barasa and Savula so that Kakamega county can move forward.”

Okaya has promised Raila that leaders with ties to the Azimio will govern if she wins the parliamentary seat.

She is running for Mumias West on an Amani National Congress ticket. In the rally, Okaya said she was asked to resign on June 19 in favor of Rashid Echesa of UDA, which she refused to do.
