A violent scuffle between rival ODM Party supporters in Ganda Ward in Malindi, Kilifi County, has left one person dead, with some sustaining injuries.
Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa who led the rival supporters disrupted an alleged meeting of ODM agents at the home of Reuben Katana, the ODM candidate in the upcoming Ganda Ward by-elections.
Jumwa, who has since been arrested, says she wanted to know why a meeting was held at night amid closure of the campaign period.
ODM officials, however, insisted that the meeting was meant for agents training. Aisha Jumwa, who has since been arrested, has denied involvement in the scuffle.
Malindi sub-county Police Commander Phillip Wambugu said they have opened investigations into the incident.
