BY SHARON NYAWIRA – A man has been charged in court with causing death at Kangundo road where he allegedly hit and knocked down a male juvenile.
The accused, Gilbert Makoha, is said to have committed the offence on 29th May, 2019 along Kangundo road at Kamulu.
Makoha was driving a Mercedes motor vehicle registeration no. KBP 544/Z. It is alleged that he drove the vehicle in a manner which was very dangerous to the public considering the condition of the road, its use and the amount of traffic which usually occurs on that particular road.
This led to the death of a male Juvenile pedestrian, Felix Kiuna causing injuries and later succumbed while undergoing treatment in the hospital.
He denied the charges before the Makadara law courts.
Rose Wairimu , Veronica Wamboi , Priscilla Mueni among others to be stated in court are set to testify in the case.
He was released on a cash bail of 20,000 and is expected to appear before court on the 18th of July 2019
