A recent Kabarak University graduate has captured the public’s attention by fearlessly confronting Uasin Gichu County leaders over the Finland scholarship row.

The graduate, widely shared on social media, confronted Senator Jackson Mandago, Governor Bii, and Deputy Governor Barorot during a public event, leaving many both surprised and inspired.

“I schooled with your children. But they’re now in the United Kingdom. The rest of us remain here despite our parents raising millions to your scholarship program.”

“You are very mean with the truth, you keep lying, you smile at us, with a very smooth tongue and a very soft face that looks like it’s very innocent, but you keep on lying and lying,”

Emotions ran high as parents, whose children are studying in Finland and Canada under the Uasin Gishu County overseas study program, held a meeting with the county leadership.

The meeting, which is the first since the scandal emerged, saw the parents lecture Governor Jonathan Bii, his deputy John Barorot and Senator Jackson Mandago over alleged mismanagement of the program.

Kenyans praised the brave youngster on Twitter for speaking truth to power and exposing the apparent deceit.

Her impassioned statement, delivered with a mix of frustration and determination, struck a chord with many in the audience and drew considerable notice on social media.
