Raila Odinga, the Azimio presidential candidate, will name his running mate rumored to be Martha Karua on Monday, ahead of the May 16 deadline.
Makau Mutua, the spokesman for Raila Odinga’s Presidential Campaign Secretariat, told Kenyans that Raila’s deputy would not be named at the Kamkunji rally on Sunday.
“Our campaign is aware that Kenyans are anxious to know the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Presidential ticket. We will make the announcement tomorrow (Monday),” Prof Mutua said.
According to reports, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua is highly regarded by the Azimio Running Mate Selection Panel.

The panel also recommended Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth to Raila, according to multiple sources.
The panel rated the candidates based on constitutional qualifications, government understanding, personality, political acumen, compatibility, and loyalty to the Azimio presidential candidate.
