The family of nominated MP David Sankok has been rocked by tragedy after his son shot himself in the head at his father’s home in Narok.
He is said to have committed the crime with his father’s gun.
The boy was a Form 4 student at Maseno High School, according to police and his family.
DCI detectives went to the scene to gather forensic evidence in order to begin their investigations. The body was later found in the house.
“The father was not at home when the boy shot himself, and it’s unclear how the firearm that should have been properly secured could have been accessed,” a senior officer familiar with the incident said.
According to family sources, the son and father have been at odds over his academic performance.
