BY FAITH MUTETE – Cosmas Mutua, a school dropout from Multimedia University has been given a second chance in his education by Embakasi East Mp Babu Owino.
The vocal legislator reached out to Cosmas, whose story touched Babu after hearing that he dropped out of school to become a watchman due to lack of finances.
Through a social media post, the MP appealed to people to help him meet the young man and luckily he was able to meet Cosmas where he promised to help him complete his studies.
“Today I met comrade Cosmas Mutua who dropped out of Multimedia University because of lack of school fees to be a watchman in Mombasa.
“He arrived in Nairobi today morning and we discussed several issues pertaining to his education which I will fully sponsor till he graduates. God bless Comrades,” wrote the former University of Nairobi student leader.
Cosmos who is from Makueni county could not hide his joy, thanking the Member of Parliament for his gesture. He will be returning to school in January 2020.
