The requiem Mass for the 32 members of the St. Cecilia Choir will be held on Thursday 9th December.
According to the Catholic Diocese of Kitui, the Mass will be held at the St. Joseph’s Seminary grounds at 10 am.
It will be presided over by the Rt. Reverend Bishop Joseph Mwongela of Kitui.
The 32 died at the treacherous River Enziu in Nguni, Mwingi Sub County of Kitui.
The accident has thrown Kitui County and the Catholic Church in a state of shock.
Leaders led by President Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Charity Ngilu have consoled with the affected families and promised support.
