Nyeri Town MP Peter Gichohi Cremated

Former Nyeri Town MP Peter Gichohi Muriithi, also known as “PG,” was cremated at Nyeri Town’s Hindu Crematorium.

A few family members, as well as incumbent Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu and his Ndaragwa colleague Jeremiah Kioni, attended the low-key ceremony.

The late Legislator’s son, Andrew Gitau, stated it was his father’s intention “to be cremated within three days.” On Tuesday, Gichohi passed away.

“He suggested we might hold a memorial service later,” Gitau continued.

Gichohi’s ashes will be interred and a tree planted at his family’s home complex in Thunguma village. His father, according to Gitau, had advised them against organizing a grandiose ceremony.

“In his wish, my father had indicated he was not interested in spending money on an elaborate funeral ceremony. He instead pointed out that any funds be channeled to Riamukurwe Children’s Home to assist the needy children,” Gitau said.
