H.E Sospeter Ojaamong, Governor of Busia, has urged outsiders against interfering with local party primaries.

The Governor claimed they have the competence to conduct nominations without requesting support from outside, while speaking at an Azimio Rally attended by ODM party leader, the Rt Hon Raila Odinga, at Achunet Stadium Malaba.

“There is no division in Busia. We should be left to do our nominations without being coerced by external forces. Gubernatorial aspirants including, Dr. Paul Otuoma, Deputy Governor, Moses Mulomi, and Florence Mutua are both my friends,” he said, adding that he will convene a meeting even if it means at Dr. Otuoma’s residence to find an amicable solution to the impasse.

“Respect is good instead of trying to influence the nomination process in the county. I am ready to undertake nomination exercise in the county and without mincing my words we shall deliver all the six MP’s seats,” he assured.

H.E Ojaamong revealed how Baba catapulted him into politics, working closely with him for over 30 years, a feat that makes him suitable to discharge his duties given any mandate by the electorate.

The Governor said a Raila Presidency will yield fruits for Busia County residents in terms of positions in the government including ambassadors, Managing Directors, Cabinet Secretaries, and many others,” he said.

The leaders present said Raila’s presidency will be the best gift for Kenyans, as they assured Raila Odinga of 100 percent vote in Busia, noting that the Kenya Kwanza’s continuous abuses on President Uhuru Kenyatta and Kenya’s founding mother, Margaret Kenyatta was abuse to Kenyans.

H.E Mulomi said the clarion call is to have Baba succeed Uhuru Kenyatta as the fifth President, urging Busia residents to rally behind that bid to actualize that cherished dream.

Hon Florence Mutua said Ruto’s brigades’ abuse of Kenya’s founding First Lady, Margaret Kenyatta is regrettable urging women across the country not to vote for Kenya Kwanza, adding that Kenya will be safe under Raila’s Presidency.

Busia First Lady Judy Ojaamong said their meeting with the incoming National First Lady Ida Odinga agreed to launch countrywide campaigns to rally their support behind the ODM leader, noting that Ojaamong has united county residents.

Kisii Governor, James Ongwae said Raila was instrumental in bringing devolution to the country, telling Busia residents to be cautious as they make their Democratic rights to elect leaders of their choice.
