The Government will sack managing directors who will not pay pending bills by 31st December 2019.
A circular issued by Esther Koimet warns accounting officers of dire consequences for failure to pay the pending bills and warns them not to report to work in two weeks time.
The move comes at a time when the Government is hard pressed to clear pending bills owed to suppliers.
“Please report the status of pending bills to the undersigned immedietely”, a letter addressed to LAPSET says in part.
