Police, KDF Sink Boreholes In Volatile Laikipia Region

To protect pastoralists from the consequences of the ongoing drought, the multi-agency security team began drilling boreholes and building dams to meet local community requirements.

Inter-communal disputes will be reduced as a result of the competition for limited shared resources.

Herders have been migrating across the country in search of water and pasture as a result of drought in some sections of the country.

While security teams continue to interact amicably with communities to prevent unrest from reoccurring, they have praised residents for working persistently to restore peace by embracing the newly created Peace Caravans that aid in the reconciliation process.

During this festive month, the multi-agency security staff guaranteed people their security and safety.
