Kisii police recovered a 4-day-old baby who had been abandoned in a restroom within the Rioma Catholic Church property Marani.
Kisii County Commander Charles Kases confirmed the incident.
Kases said that passers-by heard the “Miracle” baby girl wailing inside a latrine on Tuesday at about 2.30 pm, prompting a rapid response from Rioma Police officers.
To save the tiny Angel, the cops had to dismantle the toilet, which bore fruit carefully.
The infant was discovered in the restroom writhing in pain, wrapped in ragged rags but otherwise unharmed.
Locals complimented the officers for braving the unpleasant stench and heat of the human waste.
The girl was then taken to Marani Level 4 Hospital for emergency treatment.
The cops and their DCI counterparts have increased their hunt for the baby’s mother in the vicinity.
