Prime Suspect In Eric Maigo’s Murder Case Pleads Guilty

Anne Adhiambo Ouma alias Nut,  a woman accused of killing Nairobi Hospital Finance Officer Eric Maigo has pleaded guilty.

Ouma, who was identified as an adult appeared before High Court Judge Kanyi Kimondo and admitted to the offence.

This is after the court clerk read to her three times the offence she is alleged to have committed in Swahili.

The judge, however, warned the accused against the consequences of pleading guilty.

He asked the accused if she knew the allegations leveled against her and she agreed with a ‘ndio’ in Swahili.

“In the interest of justice, I have given her time to consult with her advocates before pleading again,” the judge said.

Ouma is represented by lawyer Samuel Ayora.

The matter has now been referred to the Kibera law courts where she will be expected to take plea again.

Meanwhile, she will be held at the Langata women’s prison pending the mention of the case on November 8.
