Raila Odinga, the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) made inroads into the Mount Kenya region, reiterated that he wants to work with Kenyans to bring the country together.
Odinga, speaking in Muranga county while visiting Mt. Kenya leaders at Thika Greens Gardens, stated that unity will be at the top of his agenda if he wins the country’s top seat.
“I have come as a friend, I am not looking for followers I’m looking for partners so that we can able to deliver a new Kenya. A Kenya that our founding fathers wanted,” Raila said.
The Azimio supremo added that improving Kenya’s economic trajectory is achievable if the country’s leadership’s perspective is changed through people empowerment.

He claims that if the necessary force was put in place to ensure that the blueprint was followed, the country would be well on its way to achieving Vision 2030.
He was accompanied by a host of leaders from the region to reaffirmed their support for his presidential bid.
He is however yet to unveil his preferred running mate, who will most likely be from the Mount Kenya region.
