If you received antiretroviral (ARV) medications in a white bottle imprinted with the blue words ‘Universal Corporation Ltd,’ you must return it to your pick-up location.
According to the Pharmacy and Poisons Board, the bottle has a yellow stripe at the top and the writing is on the side.
The clarification came after some patients and rights groups expressed confusion about the nature of the recalled drugs.
“The drugs are in a white bottle with black writing and the words ‘Universal Corporation Ltd’ on the side” (in blue).
“Recipients are being asked to return the drugs to the facilities,” said Dr Fred Siyoi, CEO of the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
The recall applies solely to Universal Corporation Limited’s Tenofovir/Lamivudine/Dolutegravir 300/300/500 mg (TLD) tablets.
The induction seal is discolored, and the tablets and bottle covers are changing colors, according to reports.
