Sarcastic DP Ruto dares boss to deploy G4S guards

Deputy President William Ruto has now stated that he has no objections to the state’s recent decision to alter the security officers assigned to his residence.

In fact, the country’s second-in-command believes that this is a “minor issue” that should not destabilize the country.

“This is a little issue with GSU and AP. Please don’t waste time debating whether GSU or AP should be deployed in my home.” He stated

Ruto said during a church service in Nakuru that he was only one person in a country of 47 million people and that concerns affecting the majority of Kenyans should take precedence over a security issue.

He insists that if the state finds it necessary to deploy a new police unit to secure his property, he is fine with it.

He even sarcastically stated that he was willing to have private security officers dispatched to protect him.

“I have no objections to AP personnel being stationed at my home to protect me. If there is an assignment that necessitates the deployment of GSU to provide protection to other Kenyans, like as those whose lives are being interrupted by cattle rustlers or other criminals, GSU can go and assist them, and the AP can support me at home.” He stated

“And if there is another assignment that requires the AP, they may install G4S as well, which I have no problem with.”
