BY FAITH MUTETE – Angry women protested outside Dandora Health Centre on Monday following the news that a woman had been forced to give birth outside the hospital because she had a medical fee of sh20 that was pending.
The nurses involved in chasing her out of the facility were later on suspended on Tuesday by Governor Mike Sonko, which followed by the Nairobi County Health executive Mohamed Dagane addressing the issue.
He said that all maternity services are free at all county facilities and no one was supposed to pay and investigations were underway at the hospital facility that forced the woman to give birth outside since she had no other option.
