The Supreme Court of Kenya Judges have unanimously upheld that Hon. William Ruto was validly elected in accordance with the Constitution and other Kenyan Laws.
In reading the summarised judgement, Chief Justice Martha Koome said that the Supreme Court found that there’s no evidence of unexplainable discrepancies between votes cast in various elective positions across the Country and those cast in favour of the president.
She further said that there were no significant differences captured between the forms 34A uploaded on the public portal and the physical forms 34A delivered at the Bomas of Kenya that would have affected the overall outcome of the presidential election.
While quoting Gacharaigu polling station form 34A displayed in Court by Julie Soweto, the Chief Justice had this to say.
“The Gacharaigu polling station form 34A that was sensationally raised by Julie Soweto was nothing more than hit air and amounted to a wild goose chase.” Said the CJ.
She also said that the contents of the affidavit by John Githongo which may contain forgeries are also dismissed for not meeting the Judicial threshold.
