Top Kilifi Girl Now Eyes Alliance

Kilifi County’s Mida Matsangoni region erupted in joy after a 14-year-old girl achieved 416 points in the recently revealed KCPE test results. 

After learning of the triumph, Swabaha Sidi, the first-born girl in a family of two, was lifted aloft by family members, relatives, and friends. 

The child, who attended Malivani AIC boarding school in Makueni county, praised God for allowing her to pass well in the exams, describing it as a gift she had never received before in her life. 

She complimented her instructors at school for providing her with a suitable learning atmosphere, which helped her to flourish in her academics.

“I also thanked my parents and relatives they have been giving me all the support paying my school fees and everything,” she said.

Sidi says her dream is to go to Alliance girls’ high school and later become a surgeon.

She asked those who did not make it in the exams not to give up but continue working hard when they go to high school and they will win.

 “Success doesn’t come on a silver platter, life has ups and downs so you just have to work hard not to give up,” she said.

Her Mother Salama Mwilo thanked God for the good results saying the journey has not been easy to reach where she has reached.

She said her daughter joined boarding school at a very young age of 9 but still she was determined to work hard and succeed.

“My daughter chose to forsake all the goodness of living with mum to join boarding school where she got a good environment for studies that prepared her well in the examinations,” she said.

Currently she said they are in prayers to ensure that her dream of joining Alliance girls high school becomes a reality.

Josephine Sidi the girl’s grandmother a retired teacher said she was happy to hear she had excelled in the exams and described her as very hard-working student who always asked questions about anything that she did not know.
