Police in Matuga, Kwale County, have arrested two suspects believed to be involved in drug peddling following an intelligence-led operation conducted in the Vuga area on Monday, November 10, 2025.
According to authorities, officers acting on credible information moved in on the suspects, leading to their swift arrest. During the operation, police recovered 20 rolls of a substance suspected to be cannabis sativa.
The two individuals were taken into custody and escorted to a nearby police station, where they are awaiting formal processing and subsequent arraignment in court.
The National Police Service (NPS) reiterated its commitment to intensifying the fight against the sale and distribution of narcotics, which continues to pose a major threat to public safety and youth well-being across the country.
“The Service remains vigilant and dedicated to combating drug-related crime and ensuring all offenders are brought to justice,” the NPS stated.
Investigations into the suspects’ wider network and possible supply links are ongoing.
