Uganda Airlines finally touched down in Moi International Airport, Mombasa, its second destination in East Africa’s largest economy after Nairobi.

While addressing the new route, a Ugandan Airlines official indicated that the authorities will continue to work closely with Kenya Tourism Board to further relations with Kenya.

“We are working with different stakeholders including the Kenya Tourism Board, hoteliers and travel agents to ensure the airline rules the skies,” Uganda Airlines sales manager Kenya Lenny Malasi said, according to Daily Monitor.

Direct flights between Mombasa & Entebbe is projected to be a major boost to tourism & trade between Kenya & UG.

In East Africa, Uganda remains to be Kenya’s greatest trading partner, with the volumes of exported goods estimated to be worth $580M of goods to Kenya, attributed to reduced deficits and tariffs.
